Thank you so much for checking out my new website! I hope you are interested in learning more about an energetic, motivated, fast-paced, exciting speaker. I have had the opportunity through the years to really develop my speaking and presentation skills to get them to the level at which they are today. I started speaking in high school when I was a member of the FFA, which at that point stood for the Future Farmers of America. Since those teen years, I have had the chance to speak at all kinds of events including fuel pump openings with Governor Granholm, events at the Capitol, testifying in front of legislators, emceeing Ladies Day at the Ingham County Fair, emceeing an agricultural conference about Phosphorous, and giving presentations about agriculture, just to name a few.
I also have the great privilege of being the host of the "Michigan Farm and Garden" television show which airs on 7 stations throughout Michigan. I began co-hosting in August of 2001 and since then you can only imagine the broad scope of information and knowledge I have garnered about Michigan agriculture. It is a true love of mine as I grew up on a farm in Michigan and have never forgotten my agricultural roots.
I would really enjoy coming to your event to talk about agriculture, including the statistics, humorous stories, and even just sharing what life on the farm is all about. However, if you are more interested in a motivational-type of presentation, I am well versed to talk about what it is like being a woman in management since I also hold the position of Executive Director of the Michigan Corn Growers Association and the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan. That career choice has enabled me to not only hone my management skills, but also to work through the challenges of being a female in a male dominated environment.
